Do you ever stop in the quiet of the night and stare in wonder at your precious children as they sleep? Praying for their hearts to serve the Lord ~ praying for protection and good health and safety?

I love peeking at the children before heading to bed. The busy day is done. The dishwasher is running (hopefully), toys and books have been put away or shoved to the side and all is peaceful in the house. These moments offer great opportunities to pray over our children!

I encourage you to check these books out if you don't already have them. Share them with your children. There is nothing more comforting for a child than to hear their parents praying over them.

It reminds me of a song 'Midnight Oil' by Phillips Craig & Dean. You may remember the lyrics... 'Mama used to burn the midnight oil, down on her knees in prayer'.

May we all be encouraged this Mother's Day, to pray regularly over our children. To let our children hear our prayers over their lives and be comforted knowing that their Mama is on her knees in prayer for her children.
