We recommend this book: The vibrant images and beautiful princess instantly captivate young girls in the Princess Parables series. I'm grateful to have an option of 'wholesome' princesses for little girls to enjoy. This story is so sweet. The girls are driving the wagon to the Easter celebration and encounter a terrible storm. They pray together when they realize they need help.

The Princess Parable books offer ample opportunity to instill wonderful character traits in your daughters and grandaughters - things like: kindness, grace, faith, courage, and more!

We recommend this book: This beautiful book caught my eye with the glitter on the cover and colorful illustrations. It begins with Creation and continues through Jesus' death and resurrection. Read how Easter was God's plan from the beginning! Scripture is also used throughout the book allowing for a deeper dive with your children and grandchildren. this book is also available as a large padded board book!

On That Easter Morning (5-9)

We recommend this book: This book is a a wonderful read-aloud option for children as young as 5-years-old. In this beautifully illustrated book, the author takes biblical text, which is broken up into different "scenes" and weaves them together into a story that flows well together. Some biblical text is simplified for children, i.e., 'Forgive them, Father. They don't know what they are doing' rather than 'Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do'.

Summary

This set of Easter books is perfect for the 'middles.' Children who have moved past toddler books and can pay attention to longer stories. The illustrations in these books are captivating, and several have a 'sing-song' rhythm to hold children's attention. That said, I would say children ages 3 - 8 would enjoy these books. Enjoy celebrating the risen King of Kings and Lord of Lords this season!
